Liberty is perhaps the most overlooked component in the ongoing Republican debates. iVoteAmerica has ranked the Republican candidates based upon the answers they gave to questions as measured by the US Constitution’s concept of liberty.

A candidate’s understanding and application of liberty as reflected in their answers has been weighted 50%. Of course, it would be instructive to hear the commentators in these debates ask the candidates about their concept of liberty.

In addition to the weighting of the candidates according to the concept of liberty, we have rated the candidates based upon their dedication to traditional American values as reflected in their answers.

Osama bin Laden is dead. Three cheers for the long awaited end of another tyrant’s short life.

Now, let’s snap back to the chalkline of America’s other reality.

Now back to real life issues on the streets and in the neighborhoods of Des Moines, Phoenix and Birmingham.

Back to soaring debt and a bloated government with an insatiable appetite for spending. Back to the reality of $5 per gallon gasoline. Back to Obama care. Back to grocery prices spiraling upward, seemingly out of control. Back to the housing crisis, foreclosures and the pain being dealt to average Americans. Back to entitlements we can no longer afford. Back to a Treasury that never met a printing press it didn’t like. Back to unemployment. Back to the devastation of small businesses that can no longer secure the credit necessary to sustain them. Back to the debt ceiling debate. Back to gridlock. Back to the sickening world of a Washington elitism that knows little about the chalk line of America’s reality.

Expect a New and Improved Obama to Emerge

We can expect President Obama to begin to use the events of the last few days in clever political ways. Yes, we said it and we mean it. Barack Obama will attempt to ride the crest of the wave of Osama bin Laden’s death like a Hawaiian surfer hanging ten.

Why?

As a master politician, Barack Obama wants to divert the attention from the looming financial crisis facing America and from his pathetic Presidency. He will use just about anything to create the illusion of success, even the death of Osama bin Laden.

Of course, he had nothing to do with the mission, other than being briefed about it and approving it. It was all about the amazing Intelligence professionals and the brave men and women who keep this country safe and who are willing to move into dangerous situations under darkness of night.

It’s not about Barack Hussein Obama. In fact, the mission to get Osama bin Laden was more about the policies of former President George W. Bush that about the current President. Remember, Obama’s first act was to issue an executive order to close Guantanamo Bay.

Nonetheless, expect the spin to begin. Expect President Obama to start sounding more like President Bush on the campaign trail. Expect him to act like a hawk, talk tough and posture as a warrior when in fact, he is a wimp.

Obama got Osama but the Election is Still Coming

But America cannot be fooled anymore by your slick talking, teleprompted speeches, Mr. President.

In approximately 550 days, Americans will once again go to the polls to elect a President. Until then we will be walking the fine line of America’s reality.

Rest assured, in the mind of Barack Obama, the campaign is well underway and he, like Rahm Emanuel, will not let a good crisis go to waste.

But, Mr. President, America will not be fooled a second time.
