The Speaker never met a politically opportune moment she couldn’t resist exploiting.

No matter what happens in Washington we can be assured of at least one thing; Politicians can verbally spin a concept better than the very best Madison Avenue marketing group.

Just after midnight (ET), the Speaker walked up to a set of microphones and made this astounding pronouncement:

“…we sent a message to Wall Street, the party is over! The era of golden parachutes for high flying Wall Street operators is over! No longer will the U.S. taxpayer bail out the recklessness of Wall Street.”

What did you say, Madam Speaker? Did you just say, “No longer will the U.S. taxpayer bailout the recklessness of Wall Street?”

Uh, pardon me, excuse me…Madam Speaker, we have a question from the very back row of main street America. Didn’t you just hand Wall Street up to $700 billion in tax payer dollars to purchase mortgage loans known as “toxic assets?”

Are we missing something here or do words mean something different to us “folks” out here in America than they do politicians like Pelosi?

Madam Speaker, there is always a party going on in Washington, D.C., it’s just a question of whose party is it and who is cleaning up the morning after?

On September 13, 2008 during The View, Walters went “WA-WA” on John McCain, interrupting, turning her cold shoulder to him and failing to look him in the eye while attacking his selection of Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential candidate.

See the YouTube replay here.

iVoteAmerica doesn’t care about The View and how it chooses to execute its program and John McCain is a big boy who should be able to hold up to the women who host The View.

You Just think it’s the Economy

What we do want our readers to note is that the division among American women over the selection of Sarah Palin continues to be “THE STORY” of this election.

Palin is the new Republican weapon and an electrifying personality whose rapid rise has taken her from the relative obscurity of the Governorship of Alaska to a heart-beat from the most powerful position in the world, President of the United States.

Palin is intelligent, articulate, disciplined, outspoken and accomplished in her own right, but Palin is a novice when it comes to the intensity of the Washington culture. This is why the McCain campaign is grooming her, metering her and throttling her appearances while she comes up to political speed.

Clinton Vs. Palin 2012: Mano-a-Mano

When it comes to Sarah Palin, the Republican Party is already looking beyond this election toward 2012 and the potential match-up of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton. This would truly be a war of the women unlike anything we have ever seen.

For the first time, the Veep selection actually matters. For the first time, in a long time, people are not defining the Vice President in obscure terms such as “the nation’s funeral director.”

We are witnessing a major shift from male-based presidential campains to female-centric politics. But more than this, we are witnessing the rebirth of the cultural wars that have been dividing women since the battle over the Equal Rights Amendment.

Should McCain prevail in November and become the next President of the United States, Obama will be severly weakened, Hillary Clinton will be vindicated and the 2012 election could pit Palin against Clinton. Watching the two of them go mano-a-mano will be the most fascinating and exhilerating match up in the history of Presidential elections.

iVoteAmerica thinks the vote count in this election is going to be about Palin’s influence over the female vote. If you don’t believe it, start asking the women you know? This race is about Palin, its about Hillary, it’s about women.

Thank you “WA-WA.”

Yes, this is wrong but real.

Governor Sarah Palin defined the gender disparity in her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention by asking the question what is the “…difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull?”

Answer: Lipstick!

Not only do women compete with a separate set of standards but they are also judged by a separate set of standards than their male counterparts. This difference could not have been more evident than with Sarah Palin’s style during her acceptance speech.

Not more than a few days ago the media was praising Joe Biden’s fitting role as Barack Obama’s attack dog. The difference between Biden and Palin is the lipstick.

Women are going to understand the depth of what Sarah was talking about last night. Women are going to understand the demands placed on them and the double standard by which they are forced to compete.

Women are going to be taking a very long, hard look at supporting the McCain ticket in November because if they do they will have their first Pitbull wearing lipstick!
