A.C.O.R.N. is much more than a nut. ACORN is an organization that is identified by the following acronym:

A = Association of

C = Community

O = Organizations for

R = Reform

N = Now, Inc.

ACORN has its organizational hands in foreclosures, gulf coast recovery causes, campaigns to raise the minimum wage (they call this “Living Wage”) and paid sick days as a mandated government requirement, preditory lending, utility costs, immigration issues and voter registration (”Voter Engagement”).

But, is ACORN nutty? And if so, how so?

On its website ACORN bills itself as “…a non-profit, non-partisan social justice organization.” So, let’s focus on that phrase “non-partisan” for a bit.

Mickey Mouse is Finally Registered to Vote as a Democrat

ACORN is the organization behind the voter registration of some of the Dallas Cowboy football team in Nevada and the registration of Mickey Mouse in Florida. Don’t laugh, it’s true! Referring to Mickey’s voter registration card, Brian Kettenring, ACORN’s head organizer in Florida, told the St. Petersburg Times, “We don’t think this card came through our system.”

ACORN employees have been compensated by productivity payments based upon how many voter registrations they secure. ACORN claims to have signed up to 1.3 million poor and working-class voters this year in a mass registration drive in 18 states.

Of late, some of ACORN’s registration cards have become the focus of fraud investigations in several key swing states that could determine the outcome of the Presidential election in Ohio, Nevada, Connecticut, New Mexico, Missouri, and other states…nearly a dozen at last count.

ACORN is a 501(c)3 organization, meaning it is tax exempt and therefore, it is supposed to be unbiased in the work it performs. Yet, nearly all of its voter registrations are Democrats.

ACORN is clearly NOT a non-partisan organization as required under IRS rules for organization that apply for and receive the benefits of a 501(c)3 status.

The Rumored Obama/ACORN Connection to Sub Prime Lending

Enter Barack Obama, who advised ACORN in how to get banks to engage in sub prime loans to lower income individuals and families. Barack Obama conducted training for ACORN’s leadership with respect to how they might intimidate banks under the guise of the “Community Reinvestment Act” to pressure executives to engage in high risk lending to predominately lower income families.

Just so we are not accused of being biased, here’s a report from CNN about ACORN voter registration fraud:

Here’s a shocker for our iVoteAmerica readers. In one of the versions of the $700 billion government bail out legislation, ACORN was actually slated to receive funds as a part of the bail out.

Final video for your consideration:

iVoteAmerica thinks this election will be one of the most turbulent ever with many lawsuits and counter-lawsuits filed by both Republicans and Democrats over the issue of voter registration.

Buckle your seat belt. This is going to be a wild ride.

When it comes to ACORN, maybe we are the nuts?
