With a wink and nod northward to our President, “felicidades” was one word used by dictator Fidel Castro to praise President Barack Obama’s successful implementation of his new national health care program.

“We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his government,” Castro said in an editorial that further chided the U.S. for taking “an incredible 234 years after the Declaration of Independence” to do so.

Castro further said that medical services for all Cubans was “something that Cuba was able to do half a century ago.”

What does the praise of Castro really mean to us? What does it tell us, if anything?

Obama’s Global Appeal, Expanding

Barack Obama has spent considerable time and effort developing his global appeal. It started with the great “apology tour” that found the President apologizing to Europeans for the mistakes America has made.

Obama’s global appeal at America’s expense was further exemplified by his bowing before the Saudi King. It was maginified at the summit of the America’s in Trinidad in April, 2009, by his recognizing and receiving the 1973 leftist book written by Eduardo Galeano entitled “Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent” from Hugo Chavez, who gave our President a back slap and big smile.

Despite the anger of up to 77% of American voters, Obama and the Democrat controlled congress rammed through health care legislation that will most certainly create further economic upheaval in the United States. But never mind the views of the electorate, what seems to count is “change” at any price.

It’s more than a bit puzzling that the pattern of patronization endorsed by Obama in Europe, Latin America and yes, in the U.S. as well, seems to be grabbing the attention of the likes of Fidel Castro, one of the most brutal dictators in history.

We ought to be concerned when our President received accolades from dictators. We should be distressed when our President travels the globe posturing himself as the great apologist, rather than the great defender for all the America has contributed to global stability.

The blood, guts, tears and treasure of America have kept the world and its people from falling completely into the hands of Hitler, Stalin, Mau, Mussolini, Castro, Chavez and the long list of other tyrants who have used the iron fist of government to smash freedoms and enslave the world’s millions. save for America.

Declaration from Castro of “felicidades” followed by his “what took you so long to catch up to us” rhetoric should cause us to wonder what Barack Obama’s long term agenda really is.

After all, it was President Barack Obama who trumpeted the altruistic nature of a his soon to be one term Presidency, was it not?

So, what happens to Barack Obama after the American people vote him out of office in 2012? Some suggestions include, speaking tours in Europe, lectures in Cuba, bowing lessons in Saudi Arabia and co-speaking appearances with Chavez in Venezuela. Perhaps our President can move his annual physical from the U.S. to Havana or Canada, countries with incredible health care systems.

There is no question in my mind that I have lived long enough to see everything the nation once stood for in our own eyes and in the eyes of the world begin to disintegrate and fail.

John Adams, for those who slept through history class, was America’s second president, and one of the Founders who participated in the writing of our Constitution. If you worry about deals made behind closed doors, you are herewith reminded that the Constitution was written behind closed doors. Though the room in Philadelphia had its share of lawyers, the man who presided over the process was a soldier and farmer called George Washington. Others included farmers, physicians, and even clergymen.

Along with Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, the sharpest mind among them was that of John Adams. After the ratification of the Constitution, he warned that “a Constitution of government once changed from freedom can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

Freedom Lost

The healthcare bill is freedom lost forever. I hope I am wrong, but I now doubt it will be repealed, nullified by the states, or reversed by the Supreme Court. While it is true that most constitutional scholars believe it is unconstitutional, taking and twisting the Commerce clause beyond recognition, I believe the damage has been done.

I freely admit that, before the vote, I remained hopeful that, even if enacted and signed, it could be overturned, but I am now less confident of that. In retrospect, the entitlement society that began in the depths of 1930s Great Depression and has been expanded ever since has proven to be the slow poison that will undo our constitutional system of government.

Conservatives have long warned against the excesses and delusions of liberals, but we have also seen self-identified conservatives like former President George W. Bush preside over the expansion of Medicare with a prescription program that defied any manner of funding at a time when Medicare and Social Security was known to be going broke.

In 2005, Bush did try to mend the system for the vast redistribution of wealth by campaigning to allow workers to divert some of their Social Security into private accounts as a hedge against old age and illness. When Nancy Pelosi said this was a plan to unravel public pensions, the voters decided they didn’t like that idea.

The Speaker, Running Amuck

I confess I have tried in my mind to dismiss the Speaker of the House as just some lunatic, fringe advocate for liberalism run amuck, but like a lot of Republicans today, it is clear that she was underestimated (along with the Senate’s Harry Reid) for her political skills.

She engineered a political victory that has not only restored President Obama’s reputation as a leader on the domestic front, but has set in motion the destruction of America’s frail financial foundations.

Few believe that the U.S. can continue to borrow the billions necessary to maintain Social Security and Medicare. The alternative, of course, is to tax all Americans to such an extent that it destroys the middle class and drives more corporations offshore.

Speaker Pelosi eat, drank, and breathed Democrat politics from birth. Her father, Thomas D’Alesandro was a congressman and mayor of Baltimore. Her brother was also a mayor of Baltimore. She made her first public speech at age seven at her father’s swearing in ceremony.

I opened with a quote by John Adams and will close with one by Thomas Jefferson:
“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

Abandoning the Principles of the Constitution

Americans, however, have long since abandoned the principles of the Constitution, a small and limited central government, for a behemoth that now controls our very lives through a bill that vastly expands the federal government and gives it the power to intervene between our physicians and ourselves.

We have been betrayed by an insurance industry that will be happy to rid itself the high risk and costly need to provide health insurance while continuing to prosper from life, property, and other forms. We have been betrayed by the pharmaceutical companies now salivating at the prospect of future profits funded by the taxpayers. The American Medical Association supported healthcare reform; a betrayal.

Even the States, many of which now want to protect themselves from even greater unfunded mandates, have long since abandoned their sovereignty by allowing the federal government to control education, highways, environment, and a myriad of other local responsibilities.

None of the institutions of government, not the executive, not the Congress, and probably not the courts will uphold a Constitution now distorted beyond recognition. Despite the usual talk of a new revolution, of midterm elections to return power to the Republican Party, the People are essentially defenseless.

Tell me I am wrong. Then tell me why.

It has finally dawned on me why President Obama and the Democrats in control of the Congress rushed to pass an unread “stimulus” bill “redistributing” billions of taxpayer dollars, have been voting bills out of committee to “reform” our national healthcare system, and another to impose a huge tax on all energy use.

They don’t care.

They don’t care that the polls clearly demonstrate that the majority of Americans oppose these and other initiatives.

They don’t care that the time-tested and time-proven way out of a recession is to cut taxes.

They don’t care that a similar healthcare program in Massachusetts did not reduce costs, that funding was slashed, and that rationing began.

They don’t care that there is absolutely no need for a bill to regulate carbon dioxide in order to “stop global warming” and that it is a huge tax increase on all Americans at a time when the Earth has been cooling for the last ten years.

They don’t care.

These are people like David Axelrod, the President’s advisor, who dismissed the hundreds of thousands of people who came to Washington, D.C. on September 12th to protest, saying, “They’re wrong.”

It is obvious that President Obama doesn’t care.

There is a complete disconnect between what he says and what he does. One could prepare a very long list of promises and statements made during his campaign and since his inauguration that reveal an astounding and frightening level of daily mendacity.

As for Congress, the rush to pass legislation such as healthcare reform that had been examined during the Clinton years—and rejected—is the single greatest indicator of how bad the outcome of this “new” effort will be. This is a bill being put together out of sight of the public because, if they knew its provisions, they would lay siege to Congress to stop it. Indeed, they already have. It won’t even be posted on the Internet for public review.

They don’t care.

It’s the same attitude that was demonstrated by the Nobel Prize committee that awarded Obama its Peace Prize barely two weeks after he was inaugurated, announcing it to a stunned world months later when it was apparent to everyone that he had done nothing to earn what was formerly one of the highest international accolades.

They don’t care.

The systematic efforts to extend control over all the land and all the waters of the United States through government agencies such as the EPA, the Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Corp of Engineers runs counter to the Constitutional Amendment protecting the sacredness of private property.

They don’t care.

It is increasingly evident that President Obama may, in fact, not be a natural born citizen of the United States as required by the Constitution to hold the office. Far too many essential documents have been withheld from public review to not legitimately question this fundamental issue of legal authority. A Democrat Congress will not take this up, but the courts must.

I am reminded that the Declaration of Independence was a long list of grievances set forth by Thomas Jefferson who wrote “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them (the People) under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and to provide such new guards for their future security.”

Barring a complete change of power in Congress in next year’s midterm elections, it
is beginning to look like a new Declaration will have to be written as this administration and this Congress continue to run roughshod over the will of the People to bring about their enslavement and the destruction of the nation.

Hello All,

By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to  Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Bill and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.

On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date.

On about Tuesday Bill found out that they would be holding the “Town Hall” at the airport. (This is only because Bill knows EVERYONE at the airport) Our airport is actually located outside of  Belgrade (tiny town) in a very remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote location, and you can not get to it easily. It is totally secluded from the public.

FYI: We have many areas in  Belgrade and  Bozeman which could have held a large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums). All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED IN!

Shipping in the Obama Show

During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly.  Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming.  Though it was our President coming several expressed how excessive it was, especially during a recession.  

Late Tuesday-early Wednesday the 12th,  they said that tickets would be handed out on Thursday 9am at two locations and the president would be arriving around 12:30 Friday.

Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm……900 tickets just DISAPPEARED.

This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama.  Montana has some of the best beef in the nation!!! And it would have been really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the Recession?  Just think…with all of the traveling the White House is doing.  One can only imagine what else we are paying for.

On Friday Bill and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that wanted to protest Obama’s spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal)and unloaded right there.  It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a fight.  Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd. 

The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned Parenthood folks were with them…..professing abortion rights with their T-shirts and preprinted signs.  (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to protest in ANOTHER area)

Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man.

So we had  Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you name it. There was even a guy from  Texas who had been driving through. He found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to protest.

If you are wondering about the press…well, all of the major networks were over by that remote hangar I mentioned.  They were conveniently parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away.  None of these crowds were even visible to them.  I have my doubts that they knew anything about the crowds.

We did have some local news media around us from this state and  Idaho.

Speaking of the local media…they were invited.  However, all questions were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn’t want anyone to have to think off the top of their head..

It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make it appear that  Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare.

Even those people that talked about their insurance woes; the White House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee) and asked for names.  Then the White House asked those folks to come. Smoke and mirrors…EVERYTHING was staged!

I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House. The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not living in the  United States of America , more like the  USSR !! I was physically nauseous.

Bill and I have been around when Presidents or Heads of State visit.  It has NEVER been like this.  I am truly very frightened for our country.  America needs your prayers and your voices.  If you care about our country please get involved, know the issues and let Congress hear your voices again and again!

If they are willing to put forth so much effort to BULLY a small town one can only imagine what is going on in  Washington  DC.  Scary!
