On September 13, 2008 during The View, Walters went “WA-WA” on John McCain, interrupting, turning her cold shoulder to him and failing to look him in the eye while attacking his selection of Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential candidate.

See the YouTube replay here.

iVoteAmerica doesn’t care about The View and how it chooses to execute its program and John McCain is a big boy who should be able to hold up to the women who host The View.

You Just think it’s the Economy

What we do want our readers to note is that the division among American women over the selection of Sarah Palin continues to be “THE STORY” of this election.

Palin is the new Republican weapon and an electrifying personality whose rapid rise has taken her from the relative obscurity of the Governorship of Alaska to a heart-beat from the most powerful position in the world, President of the United States.

Palin is intelligent, articulate, disciplined, outspoken and accomplished in her own right, but Palin is a novice when it comes to the intensity of the Washington culture. This is why the McCain campaign is grooming her, metering her and throttling her appearances while she comes up to political speed.

Clinton Vs. Palin 2012: Mano-a-Mano

When it comes to Sarah Palin, the Republican Party is already looking beyond this election toward 2012 and the potential match-up of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton. This would truly be a war of the women unlike anything we have ever seen.

For the first time, the Veep selection actually matters. For the first time, in a long time, people are not defining the Vice President in obscure terms such as “the nation’s funeral director.”

We are witnessing a major shift from male-based presidential campains to female-centric politics. But more than this, we are witnessing the rebirth of the cultural wars that have been dividing women since the battle over the Equal Rights Amendment.

Should McCain prevail in November and become the next President of the United States, Obama will be severly weakened, Hillary Clinton will be vindicated and the 2012 election could pit Palin against Clinton. Watching the two of them go mano-a-mano will be the most fascinating and exhilerating match up in the history of Presidential elections.

iVoteAmerica thinks the vote count in this election is going to be about Palin’s influence over the female vote. If you don’t believe it, start asking the women you know? This race is about Palin, its about Hillary, it’s about women.

Thank you “WA-WA.”

Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska is real, very real. She is also capable of delivering knock out lines with a whimsical smile.

In an exceptionally gender-biased mind-bending way the liberal, left leaning, mainstream media continues to put the forth the questions, “Can a mother of five from small town America lead a nation?”

Sarah Palin lit fires under millions of every soccer and hockey mom in America by saying, “I joined the PTA…every family has its ups and downs…” She smiled as she delivered carefully crafted hammer-blows to the inexperienced Barack Obama.

Behind the Smile

Don’t be fooled. Behind the smile there is a powerful woman of incredible resolve, conviction, family values and nerves of steel.

Palin is the real deal. We found out that John McCain’s first duty as President was his ability to pick a running mate that can (1) be President and (2) connect with America. Palin can do both.

More Media Bias

This morning on CNN’s “American Morning” Paul Begala reminded everyone “…she didn’t write the speech…” in an attempt to further diminish her as an incapable woman. Of course CNN failed to inform everyone that Obama and Biden don’t write their speeches either.

The most important line of last night’s speech was Palin’s comparison of her experience as a small town mayor with Obama’s experience as a community organizer saying that the real difference is that as mayor “…you have actual responsibilities.”

Since this is Palin’s first national exposure, expect the Obama surrogates to be out on the stump in force for the next several days attempting to spin her remarks into “meaningless” or “dangerous” rhetoric.

The Really Big Question

In November, American’s will answer the question, “Can a hockey mom lead a nation?” Millions of moms who each year spend millions of hours organizing and directing millions of families (and millions of husbands!) in millions of ways will be the niche that will most likely decide the election.

This is an election that is going to turn on the women of this country and how they perceive their role not just within the family and societal structure but as people who can influence a nation from positions at the top.

John McCain has answered the question “Can a hockey mom lead a nation?” by simply saying, “My friends, please meet Sarah Palin.”

The hurricane has the gulf coast on pins and needles. (image used is hurricane Katrina)

The evacuations are underway as iVoteAmerica types. The players, including Governors, Mayors, George Bush, Dick Cheney, the Republican and Democratic Parties and yes, the media, especially the liberal media, are going to use Gustav.

Without discounting or minimizing the destruction, disruptions and even potential loss of human life, iVoteAmerica wants to invite our readers to observe how the players will ALL be “using Gustav.” It’s sad but true.

For McCain and the Republican Party, timing could not be worse with Gustav set to arrive on the very day of the start of the Republican National Convention; it’s a distraction. However, the Republican Party has already started to use Gustav by announcing the Bush and Cheney will not be at the Convention because the must both oversee the relief efforts Louisiana, Mississippi and other gulf states. Bush is headed to Austin, Texas to “monitor the situation.”

The real truth is Gustav has given the Republicans, including McCain, a much needed excuse to dismiss Bush and Cheney from any connection with the Republican Convention and John McCain. In this sense using Gustav benefits McCain because it forces a justifiable separation of Bush and Cheney from the Republican National Convention, something McCain’s handlers wanted all along.

For the mainstream liberal media Gustav brings an excuse to minimize the coverage of the Republican National Convention, choosing rather to focus on the hurricane. The liberal mainstream media can now justify their lack of the same intensive and emotional, round-the-clock coverage they gave Barack Obama and the Democratic National Convention.

Then too, there are the bit players…the local politicians and party officials. They too will be using Gustav. They will push all of the available political buttons at their disposal to been seen, heard and of course, paid. If Bush and Cheney don’t respond there will be hell to be paid…pull the levers and push the buttons!

The Democrats are stepping forward to make statements of concern and to announce their “monitoring of the situation,” according to Barack Obama himself in a statement on MSNBC at 2:40 p.m. ET. Barack spoke of getting his people involved in fund raising as well.

The big losers, us! Yes, us, as in the people of the gulf who have boarded up, loaded up and pulled out of the low lying areas that are most likely to be impacted by Gustav.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing if our politicians, political parties, Governors, Mayors and media were not engaged in using Gustav? Wouldn’t it be nice if the only spokespersons were independent parties and designated officials of the various local and federal departments and relief agencies charged with handling Gustav and its aftermath? Wouldn’t it be nice if politicians, parties and the media would just shut up? Of course it would. But there is too much at stake, too many chips on the table, politically and economically.

For the Republicans and the Democrats there is just too much at stake and each is damned if does and damned if it doesn’t. For the mainstream media it’s just another opportunity show their left leaning tendencies by minimizing their coverage of the Republican National Convention while maximizing their coverage of Gustav.

The use of Gutav for political gain or philosophical reasons is no different than using any other situation, tragedy or event to gain the upper political hand and for parties to set forth their predetermined agendas. It should not surprise Americans that we are exploited by the power brokers. It’s the way it works.

If Gustav fizzles, and we pray it does, everyone will breathe a sigh of relief and declare “we were ready this time and all of us did the right thing.” McCain will get his convention without a connection to Bush and Cheney, Barack Obama will have looked statesman-like, the media will be able to say, “we had to cover the hurricane as an overriding human interest story so we couldn’t devote additional resources to the Republican National Convention,” and finally, the Governors, Mayors and other local players will insure themselves a few more re-election votes.

God bless the people of the Gulf States.

Palin is hailed by conservative women as accomplished, driven, educated, a mother and contemporary politician that combines all of the ingredients necessary to attract female voters to the campaign.

Sarah Palin is only the second woman to be considered as a potential Vice President. If elected, McCain will have placed the first woman in history directly in line as successor to the office of President.

The selection of Palin, a Washington outsider, rounds out the Republican ticket and counter-balances Obama’s selection of Joe Biden as a definitive insider with nearly 4 decades in Washington.
