iVoteAmerica Nominates YOU!
September 22nd, 2008 . by iVote
We are now about 45 days from the election of the next President of the United States of America.
The final debates are about to begin this week.
The discussions about the war in Iraq, health care, education and other matters important to Americans are now on the back burner while money management surges to the forefront.
Managers of Tax Payer Money
But can either of these candidates convince Americans that they are qualified stewards in the business of money management? Are either of these candidates in possession of any experience opening the doors of a small business in main street America, staffing it with employees, carefully balancing inventories, meeting payroll, paying taxes and checking the bank balance on QuickBooks?
Has either candidate missed a mortgage payment? How long has it been since either of them has wondered if they could pay their health insurance premium this month?
Does McCain’s 30 years in Washington somehow qualify him to manage our money and oversee the largest debt reduction program in history? Where was he during those 30 years? Didn’t he just say, “The fundamentals of our economy are sound?”
Does Obama’s short stint as a Senator who missed more days than he attended somehow qualify him to make critical economic decisions that will impact us for decades? What lightning has struck Barack giving him a dose of smarts that accelerated his economic learning curve thus instilling within him the experience we need to manage the current market crisis?
Select Candidate “A”, Candidate “B” or “You”
Has Obama or McCain ever managed large amounts of money other than the money put in their trust by the American people, i.e., taxpayer money? Is McCain or Obama really qualified to speak to the business of money management with any degree of credibility, knowledge and experience?
If the so-called market experts of Wall Street and the likes of Ben Bernanke and Henry Paulson with their collective education, training and experience didn’t see this coming and currently don’t know what they are doing, how is it that John McCain and Barack Obama are expected to be experts?
iVoteAmerica would like to remind all of us who do open the doors of a business everyday, who do pay the bills, taxes and payrolls of America’s businesses that YOU ARE THE EXPERTS and at the end of the day, we need to trust ourselves, our judgments, our experience, our values and mostly, our common sense.
After all, isn’t this election going to be about the business of money management?
Therefore, we nominate YOU!
