Michelle Obama is the keynote speaker at tonight’s Democratic National Convention. Can Michelle, after being refurbished by the Obama campaign marketing handlers, overcome her negative public image amoung middle Americans and conservatives?

One thing is certain, the public is waiting for Michelle Obama to clear the air on her “I’m finally proud of America” gaffe. Those on the right still consider Michelle to be a wild card in the high stakes presidential poker game…everyone will be watching tonight.

The Obama campaign realized early that Mrs. O was a factor and even dedicated a section of the Obama website to “Meeting Michelle“.

Although Barack, like all good husbands, issued a call to “lay off” Michelle, she continues to be a pivotal lightning rod. Her throttled appearances on daily forums like The View and staged interviews with hand picked journalists have done little to silence those on the right.
